Orange...
February 20, 2013
There's a little shelf in my studio that gets regularly rearranged; it's my inspiration each week. This week I wanted to not only be inspired but challenged. What colour do I find the most challenging? Orange:
Don't get me wrong; I love love love orange I just never know how to use it. So this week I had a play:
I took my direction from Natalie Lymers' divine (about to be released) new range of Fabric - Folk Tale and a few things that always inspire me like threads:
and fresh flowers.:
Always taking my direction from the garden I noticed that Mother Nature always adds a hint of green with orange and sometimes a little yellow so I just had to as well:
Hope you are inspired to be inspired out of your comfort zone!

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% positive. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Orange is one of the new colours at smiggle the stationary shop. So awesome, just had to have some. Your kids would probably love this shop!

wow. You don't really realize how wonderful the colour orange can be until you see different hues placed together. Gorgeous.

Orange is a great colour and it is one of my favorites... it makes me happy and gives me energie!
I love this combination of orange with green and yellow. We need some sunny colours during this cold winter weather. ;-)

I have a friend who loves and wears a lot of orange. She always has a little bit of green too....whether it is jewellery or a scarf.....but it looks fabulous!

I was lucky enough to be at Ballarat Patchwork when Emma had received some fabric from the range. Natalie had sent quite a selection and I must admit it was the Orange that just jumped out at me. It is so cheerful!
I can't wait to see what you come up with for this very cute range.

I am inspired, thankyou Leanne. Its funny how you say that you are most challenged with Orange, in Vignette the butterfly is my favourite to stitch, the orange stands out perfectly.
Keep inspiring us xxx
