Where Did The Time Go?????
October 25, 2010
Well here I am, literally hours before I fly out to Houston, Texas, USA for Quilt Market!!!! How much excitement can a girl take! Today I picked up the mock up copies of 'Vignette' to approve for printing:
Happy dance? Yes!!!!!This also means that I have copies of the magazine to show at Houston which is very exciting (talk about the last minute!!). Anyway, I did have so much to tell you but I guess I will have even more, next time we chat, and I am back from the USA (the home of quilting!!!!).
One of the most exciting things for me is sharing my latest 'big quilt' with you in Vignette. I do so hope that you will join me in making the 16 block 'Vignette In Stitches' mystery quilt. The quilt will run over eight issues so you will have plenty of time to complete it. In Issue One we start Block One:
If you are interested in joining me there are a few of stores that will be joining us and offering kits using the exact fabrics that I have used. If you can't wait to find out who register with Under The Mulberry Tree for more information about kits with a magazine subscription.
The quilt uses a fat quarter bundle of these Lecien Basics as seen here:
And a fat quarter bundle of Rosalie Quinlan's 'Sweet Broderie' range printed by Lecien:
And just a few more fabrics to finish it off.
For the people that are going to Houston you can see Rosalie's new range on display at the Lecien booth.
If you are interested in having your own copy of Vignette to enjoy and keep ask your local patchwork shop or you can order it already from: Quilt Fabric Delights, Stitch In Time, Fiona Marie, Tinkers Cart and Under The Mulberry Tree, and Buttonberry for those of you in the UK.
Chat when I'm back in early November!

P.S. If any of you are off to Quilt Festival in Houston catch up with Rosemary from Stitch In Time and see a copy of Vignette! She will also have 'Down In The Garden' on display and a few of my other quilts and samples!
Wow Leanne. Your magazine cover looks fantastic. You must be so proud. Enjoy the show - have a ball - and I have no doubt it will be the success you all have worked so hard for.
Enjoy and have a ball!
