Giveaway!
October 04, 2010
Well, it really is about time I had a giveaway, it's been TOO long! Just leave a comment about your favourite sewing tool that you simply cannot live without by this Thursday the 7th of October, 2010 to be in the draw to win one of three patterns:
And I know there are lots of you out there in blogland who just couldn't make it to 'Immerse Yourself In Stitching' this year. So I thought that I'd give you the opportunity to win a copy of my project that we did that weekend, 'Stitcher's Keeper':
We had a lot of fun and so I hope you might too with this pattern:
It is a great place to keep your hoop, scissors, needles, and threads! If you don't happen to be one of the winners then don't worry, the pattern is available through your local patchwork store or check the online list on the left hand side of my blog.
Good luck!

I am really enjoying the theme/design of your website. Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility issues? A handful of my blog visitors have complained about my site not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?

Everything is very open with a clear description of the challenges. It was definitely informative. Your website is useful. Many thanks for sharing!

My fave tool is my leather thimble. I wish i had two but lost the packaging. It's lovely and soft and has a reinforced with metal top, which makes pushing needles through several layers if fabric a breeze.

My favorite tool are my stork scissors my children gave me many years ago. It fits perfectly in small bags, was okayed by the TSA to take on a flight (while stitching a Christmas stocking), and is just down right pretty, too.

Hello Leanne,
Your design would certainly become my favorite tool, but right now it is a little pair of scissors. I use it to cut out tiny pieces of fabric to make thimbleblocks of 1,5 centimetre.
One day they will make a great scrapquilt.

Hello Leanne, You do create some beautiful patterns! My favourite sewing tool would be a lovely thin needle that easily glides through the fabric. Wouldn't it be great if they could be colour coded just like keys! Keep on stitching....

There are a lot of sewing essentials like good needles, thread, scissors etc but I think the most important thing is the design and getting it traced out well- so I suppose I would say 'a steady hand' and patience not to rush the task of tracing out the pattern ( and this is aided more and more by a good set of reading glasses these days for me!) I love your work and just wish there was more time in the day after work to do all that I want to.

Well, I would have to say my 'quick unpick' because no matter how mcuh sewing I do, there are always seams that I do on my machine that are 'never quite right' lol, and I just have to do them again. Hand stitching is of course 'fix as you go', but my scissors are never far from hand! Love your patterns, and to win would be fabulous. Keep on designing Leanne, we love you!

Hi Leanne, You can't choose just one tool, there are so many. But the most essential sewing item is your visa. Without your visa you could not be able to buy the patterns, tools and fabric, lots of fabric.

Wow so many comments. We all love your patterns that's why. And I'd have to say that I can't do without patterns from any of you talented designers. Australia has so many, we are very lucky. Thanks :)
