For anyone thinking of booking for next year's Stitch-in, I have to say DO IT!!! It is the best day, a wonderful venue, amazing gardens, and apart from the stitching (you get two fully kitted out patterns), they feed you and feed you and then when you think that you could fit in no more, they feed you again. This year's afternoon tea was the amazing vanilla slice pictured as well as cheese and fruit platters. We (my 10yo daughter, Meg, attended for the first time this year) were there on the Sunday and both had the best time imaginable. Meg has continued to stitch her projects at home, and when she took in her little bag of goodies to school on Monday caused quite a stir among her friends.
Thanks Leanne - it was a wonderful, fun-filled, day.

Leanne, what a truly wonderful day we had, I've been busy stitching since we got home. Can't stop having a giggle about the menopausal flowers though, that was a hoot. Not a bad photo of Katherine and I either!! Takes a good photographer to do that! Thanks again, my Mum had a great day too. love :)Kylie

it WAS the best time - thank you so much for such a lovely day (i was there on saturday - the one in the white top with the puffy sleeves and the flowers).
i've blogged about it over on my own journal (http://penelopewaits.com/penny/?p=34), and was so inspired by the whole thing that i came right home and made a 'marie's roses carry bag' in one sitting!
can't wait for the next one!
