This has to be one of my favourite times of the year - getting ready for the annual Spring Stitch-In that Rosie and I host at GlenHarrow Gardens! We have been off purchasing fabric (what could be more fun?!), bolts and bolts of it:
And getting our projects ready (don't ask for more than a little sneak peek!):
And kitting up too. My heart goes out (and my back, and my arms, and entire body) to all the shop owners who cut kits day after day - it's REALLY hard work! We have the kits all ready for lovely days of handstitching, including the pleasure of just sitting and stitching because we've cut out your fabric and done your iron-on transfers already!:
We are almost organised and I will continue to be running to schedule if the power doesn't fail again! We have had HUGE winds in this part of the world and numerous blackouts due to large trees falling on powerlines (I do live in the forest!) Can't think of a better reason to get out those lovely candles! I have a decorating policy in my home that's known as the three F's: Fabric, Flowers, and Flame. Do this and your house will certainly feel like a home!
Until next time,
Leanne Beasley xxx

I'm so jealous that you are so far away. Those kits look wonderful, but I'm going to se you when you come to Trondheim.

Oh - I wish I was going with you. It sounds like so much fun.

Hey Leanne! Even though I've always loved pretty scented candles, we used to live in a rural area where, like you, we'd lose power as soon as the winds got up a bit - so suddenly, my pretty decorative candles became very handy to have around indeed! Can't wait to see what you gals get up to at your Sitch In - I'm too far away to come and play, but love the photos you share! Bear Hugs! KRIS

oH I wish I can fly!!!! So I can also meet you in person and enjoy all the wonderful stitching. How do you transfer the pattern onto the fabric. Just remember, I live in Africa and we are behind you with innovations. I have also started making patterns and kits, but it is goiing slowly. Will you be at Houston? I am itching to go there.

OH Leanne I'm so jealous I'm not going. Oh Well. The fabric looks divine. Do you stab your backstitch too? Can't wait for the photos on return.
I like candles too especially with our recent electricity bill.
