Okay - I admit it (and most of you out there know) I am a shoe girl. I am also a red girl. So when I am shopping and I see red shoes...well...need I say more?
I have done a post or two about my recent trip to teach in Loxton in South Australia with my friends Viv and Gail and our shoe purchases. See, well, the "problem" (as my hubby would describe it) is that Gail and I and Viv are ALL shoe girls. So our normally 8 hour trip to South Australia became a 12 hour trip due to all the great shoe shops along the way. I don't think this is a problem.
So why today's post? Because both Gail and I purchased a pair of these shoes (okay - I got a red pair and a brown pair) (okay okay - Gail got red and blue) and people literally have stopped both of us on the street to ask, "Where did you get those shoes?". Gail sent me a text message about a week ago saying,"Think I should be a shoe salesman!". Today, at the bakery, a lady approached me and said, "I just have to tell you - I LOVE those shoes!". So I just HAD TO POST THIS!
I have had emails and phone calls about where to get these shoes! Here's the deal: the brand is Barani and the style is Jane. They come in Red, Blue, Brown, Beige and Black. They are only available through independent shoe stores (none of the big names). Try the Loxton shoe store in South Australia because they ship everywhere (very nice people). If I can find their phone number I'll let you know (if anyone already knows can they PLEASE leave a comment with details).

Leanne, I tried so hard to resist these shoes! I think if any of my friends and family saw them, they would say that, of course, those look like shoes I would (and should) wear. But I tried to reason with myself that I have enough red shoes (enough? what is that?)--the reasoning didn't last. I found them on eBay from AU.

Oh, bless you red shoes girls! I too am I red girl and shoe girl, so when Leanne posted those wonderful to-die-for red shoes I went mad looking for them. I thought they were Joseph Siebel. Still cannot locate them here in the states but that will not stop me from calling Vaughan's Shoe Shop (there probably goes my quilt money). Love to you all from ChristinaK!

The style of shoe is similar in some ways to my favorites which I own in brown and black. Once I started wearing the brand and the wider style my feet discovered how comfortable they are and never wanted to wear any other style again. In fact, I have been planning a post about them because of something I read on another blog a few weeks ago. I haven't found any in red but if I do, I shall probably buy them as well. I enjoyed the post, they are terrific looking shoes, and red shoes nearly always make me think of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, naturally.

Leanne you have just made me laugh out loud. There in living color is a picture of moi. Trudy and I are ready for next year. Thank you for including a picture of the Yarragon quilt. I am getting married on 8 Sept and I have been trying to explain to Jeff the concept of a wedding quilt. I spent most of Monday night cutting up fabric. The picture brought the whole thing together for him. Thanks again for a great day.
